Organize From The Start
Hitting a long trail is a great dream come true but it does come with a bit of preparation. Kevin and Rob are fully engrossed in figuring out the details. To track on our progress we are using Microsoft's OneNote.
It's proving to be a great tool to keep track of planning details such as gear, fitness, food, clothing, mental approach, scheduling and other research we have been diving into. A real treat in seeing our efforts organized and easy to access and sort.
In OneNote we can create a "book." Within each book we can create "tabs." Then in each tab we can create "pages." So, this really seems to give us unlimited ways to organize. Sweet! It's real easy to add pics from online and from your phone/tablet camera, Excel spread sheets, links, checklists, etc.
It the picture above, The Kevin and Rob Show is the book. HQ, Gear and The Trail are tabs and the pages in HQ are listed down the right side. Boom! :-)
We're big fans of OneNote here at Force of Nature Hiking! Download the PC client for the best experience.
BIG TIP ALERT: On the download page look for the "Also available on" section and click the link that applies to your PC/Mac. PC Desktop or Mac is your best bet. Then be sure to get the apps for your phone and tablet as well. It's just cool to have your info at your fingertips wherever you go. Love it!
We recommend taking notes and organizing your information. Whether, you use Evernote, Google Keep or OneNote, you'll find that documenting your research will keep the important details organized and easy to access.
